"Armoured door" covers everything from a €1,000 reinforcement to a €3,500 certified block. Here's exactly what moves the price, so you can choose with your eyes open.

Reinforcement vs door block

Reinforcement (blindage) keeps your existing door and adds a steel plate, a reinforced frame and a high-security lock — from about €990–1,500. A certified armoured door block (A2P BP1–BP3) replaces door and frame entirely — from about €1,890 to €3,500+.

What you're paying for

• Certification level: A2P BP1 (5 min resistance), BP2 (10 min), BP3 (15 min) — each step up adds cost and insurer recognition.
• The lock: a 3-point A2P lock is standard; 5 or 7 points and top brands (Fichet, Picard) add to the total.
• The finish: the landing side must match your building; wood veneers, colours and mouldings affect price.
• Insulation: better blocks add real sound and thermal insulation — a daily comfort in a Paris building.
• Installation: frame condition, floor levelling and access all play a part.

How to choose
